Cindra Stackhouse Taetzsch '82

As Senior Director for Vocation and Alumni Engagement, Cindra is responsible for overseeing three teams: Alumni and Parent Engagement, the Center for Vocation and Career, and Opus: The Art of Work. Cindra also serves as Executive Director of the Wheaton College Alumni Association, and works closely with the eighteen-member volunteer Alumni Board of Directors. A 1982 graduate and a current Wheaton parent, Cindra’s work experience includes fifteen years in higher ed administration, ten years at home with three children, and several years in corporate positions in New York and Austin, Texas.

Becky Baker '13

As Reunions Coordinator, Becky focuses on the behind-the-scenes logistics to bring a warm welcome to all alumni returning for their respective reunions in the fall and spring. Becky graduated from Wheaton College with the class of 2013, earning a double major in History and Bible/Theology. While a student, Becky followed in her father’s footsteps and participated in Wheaton in the Holy Lands—a trip she would love to repeat! Leaving her home state of New York, Becky recently returned to Wheaton. She loves flowers—whether designing wedding floral or savoring the wild blooms in nature. Becky also enjoys conversations with friends over a good cup of coffee, blogging her theological reflections, and going for hikes.

Laura Bennett

As Regional Events Specialist, Laura focuses on the development and implementation of the Wheaton College Regional Events program which highlights Wheaton College faculty, staff, administrators and alumni in innovative ways. Laura works with regional volunteers around the world to build active and supportive connections between the College and local communities. Laura is an avid home cook, sports enthusiast, and neighborhood party planner. Laura and her husband have lived in Wheaton for 25 years and have three children.

Scott Carrick '14

As Digital Communications Coordinator, Scott takes care of the email and web communications to alumni and parents. Scott graduated from Wheaton’s Conservatory of Music in 2014. As a student, he played bassoon for the orchestra and band, and sang in the Men’s Glee Club. After a stint in the logistics industry, Scott changed paths and completed Startup Institute Chicago’s Web Development program in December 2015. He is passionate about continual education and self-improvement. When he’s not at his computer, he can be found playing shows with his band, Cardinal Harbor.

Cindy joined the Alumni and Parent Engagement team after serving for five years on the Parent Council. She and her husband, Kent '85, have three sons – Jared '12, Drew '14, and Caleb '17, one daughter-in-law — Megan '12, and one daughter — Tori, who is eagerly anticipating spending 2016-17 as part of Wheaton's Vanguard Program at HoneyRock. As Parent Engagement Coordinator, Cindy enjoys helping facilitate communication between Wheaton College and the parent community and also partnering with the Parent Council to welcome visiting parents during Orientation and Family Weekend. Cindy loves spending time with family and friends, teaching and writing Bible studies, relaxing on a warm beach, and snacking on dark chocolate.

Jumarlin Echavarria ’17

Juma graduated from Wheaton College in 2017 and now serves as the Student and Young Alumni Programs Coordinator. As a recent alumna, Juma enjoys connecting students to young alumni and vice versa. Juma studied international relations and completed her Human Needs and Global Resources (HNGR) internship in Peru. During her time as an undergraduate, she also welcomed international students to Wheaton as a cabinet member of AXIS, the international student club on campus. She is originally from the Dominican Republic and loves making people feel at home in new places. She also likes dancing, traveling, and eating cheesecake.

As Director of Alumni and Parent Programs, Karen is responsible for overseeing alumni reunions, regional gatherings, travel and parent engagement. A 1989 graduate and current Wheaton parent, Karen enjoys working with alumni and the parent community to foster relationships and create meaningful ways for alumni and parents to connect with each other and the College.

Cindy joined the Alumni and Parent Engagement team in 1999 when her previous employer, Conservative Baptist International (CBI) relocated to Littleton, Colorado. Her main responsibilities in the alumni office include assisting the senior director with scheduling, travel arrangements, telephone calls and correspondence. She also assists in functions relating to the WCAA board of directors: setting up meetings, preparing materials, and organizing grant, scholarship and award applications as directed by the director. She helps with the children's program in her church and enjoys walking, bicycling, motorcycling and reading. Cindy and her husband, Mike, live in Wheaton and have two grown children.

Richard oversees the implementation of reunions for alumni of all ages at Homecoming and Alumni Weekend. Richard graduated from Wheaton in 2007 with a major in Biblical Studies and a minor in Spanish. While at Wheaton he became involved with the Office of Christian Outreach, spending a summer in Ukraine through Student Missionary Project and serving as administrator for SMP the following year. Richard grew up as a missionary kid in Cochabamba, Bolivia, and spent 9 years of his childhood there. He lives in Chicago with his wife Lindsey, and is dependent on good, black coffee.

Lynne Morris

As Office and Projects Coordinator, Lynne is the first face you'll see when you visit Westgate. Lynne brings 25+ years of corporate administrative, customer service, and front office experience. Her main responsibilities in our office include greeting and directing visitors, answering questions about Alumni and Parent Engagement programs, coordinating address and email requests and constituent data changes. Lynne also assists the Senior Office Coordinator with administration of the Alumni Association Board of Directors meetings. In her free time, Lynne loves to host family and Wheaton students in her home, encourage women in their faith, bake and be outdoors. Lynne and her husband Jon reside in Glen Ellyn and have two sons.

Josh Okerman '07

Josh oversees email and online communication to alumni and parents and works closely with the Center for Vocation and Career on their web and email communication. Josh graduated from Wheaton in 2007 and was actively involved in the Office of Christian Outreach during college. An MK and third-culture kid (TCK), Josh lived in Japan 18 years before moving to Wheaton. He and his wife Mara are involved with the TCK community on campus and helping others transition to life in the states. Josh loves the outdoors, soccer and ultimate frisbee, and traveling to new countries and places.

Christy Krumsieg Vosburg '11

A young alumna herself, Christy loves building relationships between young alumni and Wheaton College, as well as current students and Wheaton alumni. She advises the Student Alumni Board, current Wheaton students who facilitate spaces to connect students and alumni of diverse interests, years, and backgrounds. She also manages Wheaton in Network and works with young alumni as respected and engaged lifelong members of the Wheaton family. The quintessential liberal arts student, Christy studied elementary education, urban studies, physics, and mathematics at Wheaton, while serving as a diakonoi tour guide, singing in the gospel choir, and student teaching in Nairobi, Kenya. She and her husband David love hosting "thought dinners" to share delicious food and rich conversation. Email her, if you live locally and would like to join one!
