Mark Dillon has served as Wheaton’s vice president for advancement since 1994, and in 2006 the supervision of alumni relations was added to his responsibilities. A member of the senior administrative cabinet, he is responsible for overseeing fundraising, alumni and public relations, constituent records, and print and Web communications. His leadership resulted in the successful completion of Wheaton’s $157 million New Century Challenge effort in 2000. Mark is a conference speaker, has written numerous articles on development and fundraising, and has served as a consultant or board member for a number of organizations. In 1991 he received an honorable mention for the Staley/Robeson/Ryan Award for outstanding research in philanthropy and fundraising. An ordained minister, Mark was also recognized as Alumnus of the Year by Trinity Evangelical Divinity School in 1987. In addition to his M.Div. from Trinity, Mark holds a B.A. from Bethel University (MN) and a Ph.D. from Union Institute. An avid golfer, Mark lives in Wheaton with his wife, Susan; the couple has three adult children.

As Director of Alumni Relations, Cindra is responsible for overseeing all alumni programs, including reunions, Wheaton Clubs, travel, communications, young alumni, and reunion giving. Cindra also serves as Executive Director of the Wheaton College Alumni Association, and works closely with the eighteen-member volunteer Alumni Board. From 1992-96, Cindra served as associate director of alumni relations, then spent ten years at home full time with her three daughters. Cindra and her husband, Daniel Taetzsch ’81, enjoy offering a home-away-from-home for their eight nieces and nephews who have attended Wheaton College.

Cindy joined the Alumni Relations team in 1999 when her previous employer, Conservatist Baptist International (CBI) relocated to Littleton, Colorado. Her main responsibilities in the alumni office include assisting the director with scheduling, travel arrangements, telephone calls and correspondence. She also assists in functions relating to the WCAA board of directors: setting up meetings, preparing materials, and organizing grant, scholarship and award applications as directed by the director. She helps with the children's program in her church and enjoys bicycling, motorcycling, and traveling. Cindy and her husband, Mike, live in Wheaton and have two children.

As director of alumni programs, Karen manages and supervises reunions, Wheaton Clubs, alumni travel, and front office communications. She also plays an advisory role in online communications with alumni. Karen joined the alumni relations team in 2007, after 18 years in the Executive Office Suite industry, as general manager with The Regus Group. Karen enjoys spending time with her husband, Mark and son, Michael. She loves to do anything that allows her to be outside, including gardening, boating and travel.

Richard oversees the implementation of reunions for alumni of all ages, and of Homecoming and Alumni Weekend. Richard graduated from Wheaton in 2007 with a major in Biblical Studies and a minor in Spanish. While at Wheaton he became involved with the Office of Christian Outreach, spending a summer in Ukraine through Student Missionary Project and serving as administrator for SMP the following year. Richard grew up as a missionary kid in Cochabamba, Bolivia, and spent 9 years of his childhood there. He is an avid soccer fan, assisting with Wheaton's Club Soccer program, and is dependent on good, black coffee.

Rachael organizes regional club events for alumni, friends, and parents around the world, and assists in organizing both Homecoming and Alumni Weekend. Rachael graduated from Wheaton in 2011 with a major in Elementary Education and a minor in Communication. During her time at Wheaton, Rachael served as a tour guide and host for prospective students, spoke at local and national events on behalf of Wheaton, and participated in a variety of intramural sports. She enjoys reading, outdoor activities, and good conversations over a cup of coffee.

As Director of Alumni Connections, Emily develops and manages Wheaton in Network (WiN), the Leadership Council, reunion giving and the young alumni program. She also oversees online communication with the Wheaton family. Prior to joining Alumni Relations, Emily’s non-profit experience ranged from coordinating trauma courses for a surgical association to initiating a child sponsorship program with a Zambian organization in sub-Saharan Africa. While studying at Wheaton, Emily served as Chair of Youth Hostel Ministry, and participated in Gospel Choir and Wheaton in Chicago. Emily loves living in Chicago with her husband, Mark. She is energized by cooking, public transportation, and running.

Marissa Hunt '10

Marissa serves as the office coordinator for Westgate, handling alumni correspondence and overseeing several Association projects in addition to assisting with reunions and other alumni events. Marissa graduated from Wheaton in 2010 with a major in bible and theology and minor in music (vocal performance). During her time at Wheaton, Marissa helped with new student orientation, sang with chapel worship team, and spent a lot of time learning from friends over coffee. She is passionate about music and discipleship ministry and plans to attend graduate school for Student Development in the future.

Shawn Hubbard

Shawn maintains and develops Wheaton Connect, manages Wheaton's email campaigns, and pioneers the use of digital communication to keep alumni connected to each other and the College. Shawn comes to Wheaton from a church in Naperville, where he managed digital communications and technical arts for five years. He graduated from Greenville College in 2006 with a major in digital media. While at Greenville, he studied a broad range of topics which allowed him to cultivate his passion for web development, audio engineering, and video production. He was also the president of student-operated record label, Blackroom Records. An Eagle Scout, he enjoys any type of outdoor recreation. Shawn, his wife, and their two year-old son currently live in Plainfield, IL.
