Dr. William Lane Craig '71

This spring, the Wheaton College Alumni Association will honor Dr. William Lane Craig '71 as 2014 Alumnus of the Year for Distinguished Service to Society. Dr. Craig is an internationally known Christian philosopher, theologian, and apologist. Dr. Craig earned a B.A. in speech and communication from Wheaton College, an M.A. in philosophy of religion and an M.A. in church history and the history of Christian thought from Trinity Evangelical Divinity School, a Ph.D. in philosophy from the University of Birmingham (England), and a D.Theol. from the University of Munich. He has authored or edited over 40 books, including his signature work, Reasonable Faith. A research professor of philosophy at the Talbot School of Theology since 1994, Dr. Craig founded the web-based ministry Reasonable Faith seven years ago in order to provide an articulate and intelligent voice in defense of biblical Christianity in the public arena. He and his wife, Jan, have two adult children, Charity and John.
